Gage Shrout is a photographer born in June, 2002 from Blue Springs Missouri. Capturing an intimate portrayal of human experiences, particularly focusing on the complexities of relationships, identity, and taboo subjects, Shrout captures moments of vulnerability, and authenticity while inviting onlookers to challenge the realities of the human condition. Shrout’s work often revolves around capturing moments shared among friends, and those in public spaces, blurring the lines between documentation and contemporary art. There is a navigation between observer and participant within the works, allowing his subjects and himself to be subjected to their most vulnerable states.
